Improving whole school performance through effective inclusion
One Day Conference for head-teachers, senior leaders and governors
Thursday 6 July 2017 at The Albrighton Hall Hotel
(Governing boards) …are the vision setters and strategic decision makers for their schools. They play a vital role ensuring the best possible education takes every child as far as their talents allow. (Governance Handbook 2017)
Inclusive education is about how we develop and design our schools, classrooms, programs and activities so that all children are supported to learn, contribute and participate in all aspects of the life of the school. Effective models of inclusive education not only benefit students with disabilities, but also create an environment in which every student, including those who do not have disabilities, has the opportunity to flourish.
- Are you struggling to meet the conflicting pressures of reduced school budgets and the requirement to raise educational standards for all children?
- Are you concerned about the high rates of exclusions for pupils that are increasing nationally and locally?
- Are you confident that you know which pupils in your school have SEN and that all teaching staff have the necessary knowledge and skills to meet these pupils’ needs?
- Are you concerned about the impact of the standards agenda on the mental health of pupils in your school or setting?
Shropshire’s one day conference for head-teachers, senior leaders and governors will bring together a wealth of knowledge and expertise and will support schools and settings to provide the ‘best possible education to take every child as far as their talents allow.’
We are pleased to confirm a comprehensive programme of acclaimed speakers who will share their experience and strategies to support the development of inclusive practices in education.
Cost: First place £100.00, second place from same setting, £60.00
