Specialist Outreach

As part of our Experts at Hand offer, schools and settings can requests inclusion support through our Specialist Outreach offer.

The aim of Specialist Outreach is to build capacity in schools and settings to meet the needs of children with complex SEND needs within their local, mainstream setting and is open to pupils in Early Years settings, schools and through to post-16.

Outreach Specialists work with individual pupils or groups of up to 6 where there are similar presenting needs and the children are within the same class/cohort/provision. Outreach is delivered as a block of up to 8 sessions (12 for a group) over an extended period to time (at least 2 terms).

The Outreach Specialists are staff from Severndale and Keystone specialist academies and the Local Authority's Early Years SEND Support Officers (EYSSOs) and Neurodiversity Practitioners (NDPs).

As Outreach is intended to build capacity within schools to meet need, there is an expectation that Headteachers will be fully involved in the Outreach and commit to embedding the learning and expertise across the school.

Requests should be made using the Inclusion Pathway request form available HERE:
