Shropshire Education Safeguarding Sub Group
The Shropshire Education Safeguarding Sub-Group reports directly to Shropshire's Education Partnership Board. The group ensures that the views and contributions of education and childcare providers are articulated and included within Shropshire's strategic child safeguarding arrangements.
The sub group does this by identifying and responding to strategic and practice issues within education settings and raising these to Shropshire's Education Partnership Board, Shropshire Children's Safeguarding Partnership and other relevant strategic groups. The group includes representation from across education provisions operating across Shropshire and also includes membership from relevant Teams in the Local Authority (Social Care, Education), Health and the Police.
Education Providers are encouraged to contact the representatives of their particular education phase/type should they wish their views and experiences to be considered in this strategic group. The current membership and contact details of the representatives are outlined in the table below:
