Ofsted ready
Once a provider is registered on the Ofsted's Early Years Register, Ofsted carry out regular inspections to evaluate the overall quality and standards of the provision, in line with the principles and requirements for the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
The Quality Improvement Learning Co-ordinator will contact you by phone, 6 months before the date of your next inspection, to offer you advice and support.
Next inspection:
From April 2026:
- group-based providers and childminders on the Early Years Register will normally be inspected at least once within a 4-year window.
- Newly registered providers can expect their first inspection within 12 - 18 months after their registration date.
Group-based providers and childminders may be inspected sooner if Ofsted have concerns that the statutory requirements of the EYFS are not being met and information suggests children are at significant harm.
If a group-based provider or a childminder receives 'Not met' in Safeguarding they will be re-inspected within 6 months from the date of this inspection.
Support from the Early Years' Team:
- Charlotte Percival (Safeguarding Officer for Early Years) will be able to offer non-chargeable support if you have received a grade of 'Not met' in your recent Ofsted inspection.
- If you received a grade of 'Needs attention' and / or 'Urgent improvement' in any of the areas within the Early years' inspection tool kit, a member of the Early Years' Team will contact you to offer you non-chargeable support.
