Early Years Support

As an Early Years team, we are able to offer you support, advice and guidance on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework through:

Advice (virtual support sessions):

Beverley Jones will be available to take your calls every Thursday morning from 09:30 - 12:00. Please contact Beverley if you have any concerns or questions you wish to talk to her about regarding your key children's learning and development on 01743 254454.

Consultancy visits (face-to-face):

If you would like to book a consultancy visit to your setting, please contact:

  • Beverley Jones (Learning and Development) - a morning or afternoon session is chargeable at £125 for settings and £65 for childminders.
  • Charlotte Percival (Safeguarding Officer - Early Years) - a morning or afternoon session is chargeable at £125.

In-house CPD sessions:

  • If you would like any of the Learning and Development training courses advertised in the CPD Schedule to be delivered to the staff in your setting, please contact Beverley Jones. These sessions are chargeable at £125 (up to 10 delegates); £150 (11 -20 delegates); £175 (21 - 30 delegates) and can be delivered face-to-face or via Teams.
  • If you would like to book a 'whole setting' Raising Awareness in Safeguarding and Child Protection training session, please contact Charlotte Percival. These sessions are chargeable at £250 and can be delivered face-to-face or via Teams.

New leader / manager:

If you have recently taken over as leader or manager at a pre-school or nursery, Beverley Jones or Charlotte Percival will contact you to offer you a non-chargeable visit to your setting, to offer advice and support in your new role.

Preparing for your Ofsted inspection:

Beverley Jones will arrange a telephone call to offer you support and advice in preparing for your Ofsted inspection:

  • If you have recently been registered by Ofsted on the Early Years Register and will therefore be inspected within 30 months of your registration date.
  • If you are expecting your Ofsted inspection within the next 6 months (6 years from the date of your last inspection).

Support following an Ofsted inspection (From November 2025):

From November 2025, should you receive an Urgent Improvement grading in an area and / or a Not Met grading in Safeguarding, Beverley Jones (Learning & Development) and Charlotte Percival (Safeguarding Officer) will be able to provide you with face-to-face and online teams' meetings / telephone calls, offering advice and support.

Once your report card is published on the Ofsted website, we will be in touch with you to arrange our support. This support is non-chargeable.
